Cette équipe travaille actuellement sur les matériaux FGM (fonctionnaly graded materials) afin de faire des modèles analytiques et numériques sur les différents chargement (thermique, humidité et autres), Des comparaisons sont réalisées avec d'autres modèles de la littérature afin de justifier les paramètres les plus influents, Des chercheurs travaillent actuellement sur aussi la nonotechnologie (nanopoutres-nanoplaques.........),

Cet axe de recherche est bien compliqué car il demande la compréhension approffondie des théories des poutres et des plaques.Cette technologie est très récente et demande des ordinateurs de grande capacité pour la résolution des systèmes d'équations très complexes, Elle fait appel à des mathématiques très poussées, La notechnologie est devenue une science très moderne et resoud plusieurs facteurs qui étaient sans solutions plusieurs années et a permis d'éclaicir plusieurs ombres.
